Labor department to host career fair in Norcross Monday
ATLANTA The Georgia Department of Labor's Gwinnett Career Center and the Gwinnett Employer Committee will co-sponsor a career fair in Norcross Monday, Nov. 8, for employers and job seekers in the area.
The event will be held from 1-5 p.m. at 2211 Beaver Ruin Rd., Suite 160, in Norcross, the site of the career center. The job fair is free and open to the public. Workshops on interviewing skills and resume writing will be conducted on site from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Applicants should bring up-dated copies of their resume, dress appropriately, and be ready to interview. Resources will be available at the career fair to revise resumes and tailor them for specific jobs.
Employers expected to participate in the job fair include: American General, Atlanta Electrical Contractors, Devry University, Etcon Staffing Service, FirstPro, Georgia Department of Revenue, Georgia State University, Goodwill Industries of North Georgia, Gwinnett County Government, Gwinnett County Public Schools, Homenurse, Lake Lanier Islands, Perimeter Staffing, Product Action International, ProTech Security, Ricoh Electronics, Terminix International, Today's Staffing, Top Notch Personnel, United Parcel Service (UPS), Washington Mutual, and Wika Instrument Corp.
