LABOR DEPARTMENT'S HINESVILLE OFFICE TO EXPAND HOURS
OF OPERATION
ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor's Hinesville office is expanding its hours of operation to better serve employers and job seekers in the area.
The office will open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning March 14 from 8:00 a.m. until 6 p.m. The long-standing hours of 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. will continue Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The Hinesville office is located in Suite 202 at 740 General Stewart Way. The telephone number is (912) 370-2595. The office serves Liberty and Long counties.
"We're able to expand our office hours without additional staff, overtime or employee workload by using flex-time schedules," said Carla Schafer, acting manager of the office. "The extended hours will allow our customers, especially those whose work schedules correspond with our former operating schedule, more opportunities to use the department's services."
