THURMOND TO KEYNOTE GWINNETT EXPO/JOB FAIR NEXT THURSDAY
ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond will be the keynote speaker at a high-profile "Business in Gwinnett" expo and job fair in Duluth next Thursday. The one-day event is sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor, the county's chamber of commerce and a local employer committee.
The expo/job fair will kick off with an 11:30 a.m. chamber luncheon at the Gwinnett Civic and Cultural Center, located near Exit 42A off Interstate 85. Following lunch and Thurmond's opening remarks, a full-scale trade show, networking forum, business seminar and job fair will be held from 1-7:30 p.m. Job seekers are encouraged to attend the afternoon and evening events.
More than 100 employers are expected to participate in the job fair.
