COVINGTON AREA VETERANS JOB FAIR SET FOR THURSDAY, OCT. 7
ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor and the DeKalb Technical Institute in Covington will co-sponsor a job fair next week for veterans and other job seekers in the Rockdale-Newton county area.
The job fair is set for Thursday, Oct. 7, from 1-5 p.m. in Building A at the Newton County branch of DeKalb Tech at 16200 Alcovy-Jersey Road.
Several employers from the metro Atlanta area are scheduled to attend the job fair, and discuss a wide-range of job openings, including management and supervisory positions, as well as full-time, part-time and entry-level jobs.
Personnel of the labor department will be on hand to answer questions about career counseling or employment services available from the department.
