COLUMBUS AREA JOB FAIR SET FOR THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9
ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor, along with the American Legion, VFW and Disabled American Veterans, will sponsor a job fair in Columbus for veterans, active-duty soldiers and other job seekers.
The job fair, set for Thursday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., will be held at VFW Post 665 at 1824 Victory Drive. The one-day event is expected to attract about 30 employers and 400 veterans.
Personnel of the labor department will be on hand to answer questions about career counseling or employment services available from the agency.
