LABOR DEPARTMENT TO HOLD JOB FAIR FOR PHILIPS ARENA SATURDAY
ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Michael L. Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor and the new Philips Arena will co-sponsor a job fair this Saturday to fill more than 300 job openings at the new arena, which is scheduled to open in September.
The job fair will be held at the Inforum at 250 Williams St. from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Part-time jobs are available for box office ticket sellers, concierge, event conversion/set-up, food and beverage, guest services representatives, ushers, ticket takers, housekeeping, security and staff at Atlanta Hawks basketball games.
Applicants should bring a resume or work history, dress appropriately and be prepared to interview.
