CAIRO AREA VETERANS JOB FAIR SET FOR WEDNESDAY, NOV. 17

ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor, the Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce and area employer committees will sponsor a job fair for veterans and other job seekers in the area.

The job fair is set for Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 1-5 p.m. at the Grady County Agricultural Center on 11th Ave., N. E., in Cairo.

Several employers from Baker, Grady, Mitchell and Thomas counties are scheduled to attend the job fair, and discuss a wide-range of job openings, including management and supervisory positions, as well as full-time, part-time and entry-level jobs.

Personnel of the labor department will be on hand to answer questions about career counseling or employment services available from the department.
