CAIRO AREA VETERANS JOB FAIR SET FOR WEDNESDAY, NOV. 17
ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor, the Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce and area employer committees will sponsor a job fair for veterans and other job seekers in the area.
The job fair is set for Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 1-5 p.m. at the Grady County Agricultural Center on 11th Ave., N. E., in Cairo.
Several employers from Baker, Grady, Mitchell and Thomas counties are scheduled to attend the job fair, and discuss a wide-range of job openings, including management and supervisory positions, as well as full-time, part-time and entry-level jobs.
Personnel of the labor department will be on hand to answer questions about career counseling or employment services available from the department.
For more information or directions to the job fair, participants should contact a veterans representative at the labor department's Cairo office at (912) 377-6526, Camilla office at (912) 522-3630, or Thomasville office at (912) 225-4033.
