WORK FORCE SEMINAR SET FOR CAMILLA NOVEMBER 22-23
ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Michael L. Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor's Youth Motivational Task Force and Mitchell County Middle School will co-sponsor two work force development seminars on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 22-23.
The events will be held both days from 8:20 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. on the Mitchell County Middle School campus located at 55 Griffin Road in Camilla.
A highlight of the seminars will be a speech by Ron Johnson of Union City, founder of Visioneer Inc., a motivational training program used in companies and schools to help individuals achieve their highest potential.
Since 1993, the Georgia Department of Labor's Youth Motivational Task Force has assisted in preparing thousands of Georgia youth for life after high school.
Labor department staff will also conduct interactive workshops with seventh and eighth grade students using the Georgia Career Information System, a career exploration computer program developed by Georgia State University.
