GEORGIA MOUNTAINS AREA JOB FAIR SET FOR THURSDAY, JANUARY 21

ATLANTA -- The Georgia Department of Labor will sponsor a job fair in Oakwood, Thursday, Jan. 21. The job fair is for veterans and active-duty soldiers in the Hall County area.

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Building 5 of the Lanier Tech Technology Center at 2990 Landrum Education Drive. The one-day event is expected to draw about 25 employers, including Z-F Transmissions, Siemens, Wrigley's Kubota, Gainesville and Hall County governments, Mayfield Dairy Farm, Scientific Games, SouthTrust Bank, Lee Arrendale State Prison, Zua Auto Parts, UPS and Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Also, Fed-Ex, Longstreet Clinic, State Farm Insurance, Bell South Mobility, Regions Bank, WNEG-TV, Home Depot, Season Shields, Federal Mogul, Rural Metro, and SMF (Swedish Metal Fabrications).

Personnel of the labor department will be on hand to answer any questions about career counseling or employment services available from the agency.
