FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SCOTT REID OF GAINESVILLE RECEIVES EDUCATIONAL GRANT
FROM STATE LABOR DEPARTMENT'S PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION
ATLANTA -- Scott Reid, 19, of Gainesville, a pre-med student at North Georgia College in Dahlonega, has won a $1,500 educational grant from the Georgia Chapter of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security (IAPES), the professional organization of labor department employees. The grant is given annually to an IAPES member's child for study at an accredited college or university. Reid was nominated for the award by his mother, Pam Reid, an administrative hearing officer in the labor department's Gainesville office. The award was presented recently at IAPES' 55th annual educational conference at Jekyll Island.
