FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SHEILA SKILLERN OF CHICKAMAUGA NAMED RUNNER-UP IN
STATE LABOR DEPARTMENT'S MILLER MERIT AWARD COMPETITION
ATLANTA -- Sheila Skillern of Chickamauga, an advanced service specialist in the Georgia Department of Labor's Northwest Georgia office in Ft. Oglethorpe, has been named runner-up in statewide competition sponsored by the Georgia Chapter of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security (IAPES), the professional organization of labor department employees. Ms. Skillern was named runner-up for the Miller Merit Award, given annually to the individual who has made the most effective contribution to the overall development and progress in the field of employment security during the year. The award was presented recently at IAPES' 55th annual educational conference at Jekyll Island.
