FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE GAYLE KIMBLE OF FORT OGLETHORPE NAMED RUNNER-UP IN

STATE LABOR DEPARTMENT'S O'CONNOR AWARD COMPETITION

ATLANTA -- Gayle Kimble, an employment program representative in the Georgia Department of Labor's Northwest Georgia office in Fort Oglethorpe, has been named runner-up in statewide competition sponsored by the Georgia Chapter of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security (IAPES), the professional organization of labor department employees. Ms. Kimble was named runner-up for the Marion A. (Bugs) O'Connor Award, given annually for the best job placement of a disabled applicant by one of the department's 53 offices. The award was presented recently at IAPES' 55th annual educational conference at Jekyll Island.
