FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE KEN COCHRAN OF MARIETTA NAMED STATE LABOR DEPARTMENT'S

MANAGER OF THE YEAR FOR VETERANS SERVICES

ATLANTA -- Ken Cochran, manager of the Georgia Department of Labor's Cobb-Cherokee office in Marietta, has been named the manager of the year for veterans services by the Georgia Chapter of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security (IAPES), the professional organization of labor department employees. The award is given annually to the manager of a labor department office or work unit who, through leadership and positive support, has contributed the most innovative and effective service to veterans programs in the state. The award was presented recently at IAPES' 55th annual educational conference at Jekyll Island.
