FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LABOR DEPARTMENT HOLDS JOB FAIRS FOR AIRTRAN AIRLINES

ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Marti Fullerton said today the Georgia Department of Labor will sponsor a series of job fairs in May to help Airtran Airlines fill more than 100 full-time and part-time positions.

Job fairs for various positions will be held at the Marriott Marquis at 265 Peachtree Center Ave. In Atlanta on the following dates:

Saturday, May 9, and Thursdays, May 14, May 21 and May 28 for reservation agents.

Wednesdays, May 13, May 20 and May 27 for ramp agents and customer service agents.

Mondays, May 11 and May 18 for flight attendants.

Applicants must report by 9 a.m., and the job fair will last until approximately 3 p.m.

All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and successfully complete a 10-year background check and a drug screening.

Also, on Tuesdays, May 12, May 19 and May 26, the airline will be conducting orientation and testing from 6-8 p.m. These applicants will be called back for interviews at a later date.
