LABOR DEPARTMENT'S COBB-CHEROKEE OFFICE WINS VETERANS AWARD

ATLANTA -- Ken Cochran, second from right, manager of the Georgia Department of Labor's Cobb-Cherokee office in Marietta, receives the Veterans Award for large offices. The award is given to the labor department office with 15 or more employees that does the best job of assisting veterans with employment services and job placement. The award was presented by Len Hunington, second from left and Morocco Coleman, left, of the American Legion at the 55th annual educational conference of the Georgia Chapter of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security (IAPES), held recently at Jekyll Island. Also shown is Ward Gibbons, right, chairman of Veterans Activities for IAPES.
