LABOR DEPARTMENT'S NORTH METRO ATLANTA OFFICE TO HOST JOB FAIR
FOR UPS TODAY
ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Marti Fullerton said today the Georgia Department of Labor's North Metro Atlanta office will host a job fair today to help United Parcel Service (UPS) fill more than 100 openings at three locations in the metro Atlanta area.
The jobs are at the company's facilities at Pleasantdale Road in Doraville, Old Ellis Road in Roswell and Fulton Industrial Boulevard in south Atlanta.
The job fair will be held from 5-8 p.m at the labor department's North Metro office at 2943 North Druid Hills Road in Atlanta. College and technical school students from the area are encouraged to attend.
"UPS is one of Georgia's best employers," Fullerton said. "This job fair offers the opportunity for people to get their foot in the door with UPS, which may lead to a life-long career with a very solid company. UPS is based in Georgia and is among the companies that have helped our state's economy become one of the healthiest in the country."
Part-time workers are needed to load and unload UPS trucks and sort packages. The jobs will pay $8.50 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 70 pounds.
Applicants should bring their work history or resume, a picture ID, their social security card and be prepared to interview.
