LABOR DEPARTMENT HOLDS JOB FAIR FOR AIRTRAN AIRLINES

ATLANTA -- State Labor Commissioner Marti Fullerton said today the Georgia Department of Labor will sponsor four job fairs next week to fill more than 300 full-time and part-time positions for Airtran Airlines.

On Monday, March 30, Airtran will recruit flight attendants, based in Atlanta. The job fair will be held at the Wyndham Peachtree Resort and Conference Center at 2443 Highway 54 West in Peachtree City. Applicants should be at least 20-years-old and must report before 10 a.m. Screenings, interviews and placement tests will last until approximately 3 p.m.

On Tuesday, March 31, the airline will recruit ramp agents. The job fair will also be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Conference Plaza at 130 Clairmont Ave. in Decatur. Applicants must report before 9 a.m., and the process will last until approximately 3 p.m.

On Wednesday, April 1, the airline will recruit for ticket-counter and gate agents. The job fair will be held at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center in Peachtree City. Applicants must report before 9 a.m., and the process will last until approximately 3 p.m.

On Thursday, April 2, the airline will recruit reservation agents for its Atlanta office. The job fair will be held at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center in Peachtree City. Applicants must report before 9 a.m., and the process will last until approximately 3 p.m.

All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and successfully complete a 10-year background check and a drug screening.
