Georgia's Rap Back System will include the retention of applicant fingerprints, the implementation of an FBI Rap Back Subscription on such prints, and the creation of a validation process for authorized entities to manage such subscriptions. Monthly Update - The AFIS vendor has installed the fall back plan on the test system, which will allow external vendor testing. The vendor continues development and monthly phone calls are ongoing, with a focus on resolving and testing all open AFIS bugs by early February, while making changes to an old software architecture. The GAPS vendor completed demonstrations of test use cases. During the review, it was determined that use cases and screens did not meet design specifications for Rap Back. The vendor is revisiting the design document with GBI staff via weekly calls to discuss discrepancies and ensure their development meets expectations. The project team met with the FBI representative to discuss the formal testing plan for Rap Back and a scheduled target date for mid-February 2021. Also, the representative provided feedback on the Next Generation Identification Noncriminal Justice Rap Back Service Participation Plan for Submitter Appendix 2 documentation.
