will be located in the vibrant City Springs district.
At its July board meeting the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust unanimously approved the resolution. Next steps include an agreement between the Sandy Springs Facility Authority and the Commission on terms and conditions necessary to move forward with the project. The new Cultural Center and the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust will provide educational opportunities for local citizens as well as visitors from around the state and country.
Our vision is to Create new and expanded exhibitions for visitors Set the big picture what happened in the Holocaust Install a new state- of the art exhibition from the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam Share the stories of Georgia survivors and liberators Display newspapers and periodicals from 1938-1945 what did people know Exhibit artifacts from the time Explore modern genocide and its warning signs Bring traveling exhibitions to Sandy Springs
As other cities around the country develop new state-of-the-art Holocaust museums and exhibitions Sandy Springs will rank among them with its new cultural center and exhibitions.
