June 2015
Welcome to the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust and Anne Frank in the World enewsletter. Updates on upcoming events, programs, and opportunities right to your inbox! Here is what is new:
On this day: June-July 1945
The war has ended. Anne Frank's father, Otto, is the only survivor from the Secret Annex. Unlike many survivors of the Holocaust, he still has remnants of his life before the war to which he can still return. The employees he trusted to help hide him and his family in the Annex have been running his business. Otto arrives in Amsterdam on June 3, 1945. He knows his wife is not alive but he is still hopeful for news of his daughters.
