Mmorial de la Shoah's travelling exhibit "Hlne Berr, A Stolen Life" comes to Atlanta
Alliance Franaise d'Atlanta and the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta in partnership with the Consulate General of France, the German Consulate General, the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust, and the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum host the "Hlne Berr, A Stolen Life" exhibit created, designed, and circulated by the Mmorial de la Shoah in Paris, France.
The exhibit will be on display from January 22 through March 15, 2014 at Colony Square, Plaza Level, Suite 561 in Midtown Atlanta. Click here to learn more about the exhibit.
Atlanta, GA Alliance Franaise & the Goethe-Zentrum will be inaugurating the "Hlne Berr, A Stolen Life" exhibit on Wednesday, January 22 from 7:00 9:00pm. Click here for an invitation and to RSVP.
Exhibit about Liberator now on tour of libraries throughout Georgia
The Georgia Commission on the Holocaust in partnership with the Georgia Public Library Service is bringing the travelling exhibit "Witness to the Holocaust: WWII Veteran William Alexander Scott III at Buchenwald" to libraries throughout the state from January to July of 2014. The tour launched on January 1 at West Georgia Regional Library in Carrollton.

2/16-18/14 Atlanta Jewish Film Festival: Aftermath
Sally N. Levine, United States Holocaust Museum Regional Educator and Executive Director of the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust, is serving on the panel for three screenings of Aftermath at the 2014 Atlanta Jewish Film Festival. Click here for showtimes.
2/23/14 Sunday Matinee: Weapons of the Spirit
Visit Anne Frank in the World: 19291945 for a free screening of "Weapons of the Spirit", a short documentary about the village of Le Chambon-sur Lignon where 5,000 French Christians provided food and shelter for 5,000 Jews. Running time: 35 minutes. Click here to read more...
2014 Art, Writing & Music Contest now open!
All middle and high school students throughout Georgia are invited to enter the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust's annual Art, Writing & Music Contest for 2014. All entries should answer the question "What are the Lessons of the Holocaust?" The submission deadline is March 4, 2014. Click here to read more...
1/26/14 Affiliate Event: "Survival of the Spirit" Art, Music and Culture of the Holocaust
This year, Am Yisrael Chai! presents a powerful event with keynote address by Ela Weissberger, a child survivor of the Theresienstadt concentration camp who will tell her story of survival and the struggle to preserve the human spirit despite enormous adversity. Read more...
