Join us every month at the Anne Frank in the World:1929-1945 exhibit for special showings of moving documentaries about the Holocaust, genocide, and human rights. August 19, 1pm: Six Short Films by Jewish Partisan Counsel Foundation. September 23, 1pm: Deadly Medicine by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. October 28, 1pm:Cinema's Exiles From Hitler to Hollywood by PBS. Click here for more details.
Family Day at Barnes & Noble: Stories of Growing up in the Holocaust
The Georgia Commission on the Holocaust has brought Anne Frank to Georgia in the exhibit Anne Frank in the World: 1929-1945 and on Sunday, August 19, will bring the story of Anne Frank and the story of a Holocaust survivor to Barnes & Noble at The Forum. Dr. Eugen Schoenfeld, Holocaust survivor, will share his story about growing up during one of history's darkest chapters. After speaking, Dr. Schoenfeld will be signing copies of his memoir, My Reconstructed Life, which will be available for purchase along with Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. B'nai Torah Religious School Students Decorate New Trunk
Students at B'nai Torah Religious School were among the first to decorate a trunk for the Holocaust Learning Trunk Project's newest shipment of trunks going into school districts throughout the state this fall. The students titled their trunk "From Darkness to Light" and it is currently on display at the Anne Frank in the World: 1929-1945 exhibit.
