12/16/12-1/13/2012 Winter Sunday Matinee Schedule
Free admission! Join us every month for special showings of moving documentaries about the Holocaust, genocide, and human rights. The schedule for the Winter Sunday Matinees is now available on the webpage. Click here to read more. Both December and January will show double features from the film collection produced by the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation. December 16th at 1pm come to the Anne Frank in the World exhibit for a free showing of "Women in the Partisans" and "Anti-Semitism in the Partisans."
11/30/2012 Holocaust scholar Dr. Michael Berenbaum comes to Georgia
The Holocaust: Are we making too much of it, too little of it, and where does it get us? Congregation Etz Chaim's Scholar-in-Residence is the acclaimed Dr. Michael Berenbaum; scholar, professor, rabbi, writer and film maker who specializes in the study of the Holocaust. Following the presentation "Holocaust and Jewish Identity: How Can a 21st Century Jew Live with the Memory of the Shoah" the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust will host a dessert reception. Diary of a Young Girl now available
Support the exhibit with your donation! Visitors to the exhibit who donate $10 or more will receive a copy of Anne Frank's Diary of a Girl. It makes a wonderful Chanukah or Christmas gift.This promotion will be available beyond the holiday season but only as supplies last. Click here for directions and hours .
2013 Art, Writing, and Music Contest
The guidelines are up! All middle and high school students throughout Georgia are invited enter the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust's annual Art, Writing & Music Contest for 2013.Visit the website for more more details, guidelines, and submission forms. Print the flyer. Deadline: March 1, 2013.
Tuskegee Exhibit in Sandy Springs
October 9th-December 20th, 2012: The story of the celebrated Tuskegee Airmen -- the first African-American pilots to fly in combat during World War II -- is told in an exhibit that opens Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 at the Anne Frank in the World exhibit in Sandy Springs. Click here to learn more...
