Viki Staley named Executive Director of Georgia Commisson on the Holocaust

the morning (between times 5-7am) to see Donna Lowry's story on the Holocaust Learning Trunk Project. Filming and interviews took place at Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy whose middle school students were welcomed as the most recent project participants. The students are decorating three trunks. One of these trunk specially commemorates the life of and promotes Martin Luther King Jr.'s message. The Georgia Commission on the Holocaust is very impressed by the student's talents and insight. Pictures of the trunks being decorated are available on Facebook. Executive Director Viki Staley and Digital Media Administrator Emma Ellingson brought the "Butterflies are Free" trunk decorated by the GIVE Center East to show some of the books that accompany each trunk. In December, 2011, Viki Entrekin Staley was named Executive Director of the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust (GCH). She has been with the GCH since 2006 and served as the Deputy Director until 2011. Prior to coming to the GCH, Ms. Staley was the legislative assistant to the Chairman of the Georgia House of Representatives Appropriations Committee. Ms. Staley served as the Executive Director and Chief Lobbyist at the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology and lobbyist for the Medical Association of Georgia for over 15 years. Ms. Staley's participation at the "International Seminar for Educators" at the International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem in Israel and "Holocaust Remembrance Study in Germany" have prepared
