Georgia Council for the Arts Announces Strategic Planning Seminar
Information to be Presented During Interactive Event
Atlanta Members of the state's various arts communities will have the opportunity to participate in Georgia Council for the Arts' strategic planning seminar. The event will be broadcast via the Internet on Tuesday, February 13, 2007. Planned as an interactive "Webinar", participants will be allowed to submit questions and suggestions "live" via e-mail while the information is being presented. This is the first event of its kind the agency has planned.
"The staff responds to and incorporates client feedback into every facet of our planning. However, with the Webinar, we are going a step further," states Executive Director Susan Weiner. "This is a chance for every person who is in some way involved with the arts in Georgia to hear our plans for the future and to respond with their ideas and insight."
The Webinar will be hosted by Ms. Weiner and David R. Forquer, Assistant Dean of Executive Programs (for the J. Mack Robinson School of Business) at Georgia State University. Members of the Georgia Council for the Arts Advisory Board will introduce strategic objectives and corresponding suggested actions to meet envisioned goals. In order to gain access to the Webinar, participants must pre-register via the Georgia Council for the Arts Website. Additional information is also available via the Website.
