To accom pany the guidelines GCA assembled a list of artists and arts organizations that have programs for which a com m unity could reques t s upport. The Office of the Governor in partnership with Georgia Council for the Arts is pleased to announce the first call of Governor Kemp s Administration for The Art of Georgia IV Imaging Home Landscapes. With this new call for the first time the program has been expanded to include The Governor s Mansion. Please view the submission guidelines for detailed information regarding each exhibit. Work is currently being s ought from artists living in the northeast part of the state. The submission deadline is August 27 2019.

Governor Brian P. Kemp and Georgia s Poet Laureate Chelsea Rathburn in collaboration with Georgia Council for the Arts recently announced the winner and finalists of the sixth annual Poet Laureate s Prize.

Now that the FY19 Partner Project Arts Education and Vibrant Communities grants have concluded their funded year final reports for all FY19 grants are due.
Final reports and CRR forms for the final 10% of the grant award are due no later than 30 days after the end of the funded project. For Partner Grants 30 days after the end of the funding period is July 31 2019.

The 2019 Georgia Art Education Association (GAEA) Fall Educators Conference will take place November 14-17 2019 at Young Harris College in Young Harris GA. Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) recently announced the recipients of its Partner Project and Arts Education grants for fiscal year 2020. One hundred and thirty-five organizations throughout the state were collectively awarded m ore than $1 million in funding. Funds awarded by Georgia Council for the Arts include appropriations from the Georgia General As s em bly and the National Endowm ent for the Arts . July 2019 - GCA m akes grant announcements and distributes contracts to grantees
August 2019 - Grantees return signed contracts and other required documents to GCA Grant contracts and supporting docum ents are proces s ed by GCA staff and forwarded to the GDEcD accounting department to set up grantee accounts
September 2019 - After contracts are processed and grantees have incurred the requisite amount of expenditures (at least double the grant funds being reques ted) grantees m ay s ubm it a Contractor s Request for Reimbursement (CRR) for up to 90% of the grant award Initial CRR forms are processed by GCA staff and forwarded to the GDEcD accounting department for payment proces s ing
October-December 2019 - Date range when grantees m ay expect to receive payment for initial CRR forms submitted in September depending on the time required to set up accounts and process paym ents
October 2019-June 2020 - Grantees may continue to submit CRR forms to request payment of the grant award up to 90% Payment processing and delivery usually takes 4-6 weeks

Beginning this past winter with Elbert Mem orial Hos pital GCA inaugurated a new initiative entitled Creative Healing hanging curated exhibits of Georgia s State Art Collection in rural hospitals. An exhibit in Was hington County Regional Medical Center opened in May and a new exhibit will open at South Georgia Medical Center Berrien Campus later this summer. Two additional exhibits are being planned for hospitals in South Georgia for late fall/early winter.
