A PROCLAMATION
NElWEAVING - PAY IT FORWARD WEEK

WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: THEREFORE:

In 2007, Pay It Forward Day was created to focus attention on the concept of upaying it forward"- doing random acts of kindness for other individuals. The aim of the Pay It Forward concept is to promote community spirit through intentional acts of kindness; and
This concept has now become a worldwide phenomenon, furthering the altruistic movement of goodwill. NetWeaving - Pay It Forward Week was created in 2010 to promote ueconomic vitality" throughout Georgia; and
Both Pay It Forward Day and NetWeaving - Pay It Forward Week encourage citizens to do good deeds for others without asking for anything in return except for the recipients to pay it forward to others in need and those who might benefit from these new introductions; and
The goal of NetWeaving - Pay It Forward Week is to create a dual economic ripple effect for Georgia. Participants are encouraged to host meetings that week to assist others in "paying it forward"; now
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim April 28, 2016, as PAY IT FORWARD DAY in Georgia and the week of April 25-29, 2016, as NETWEAVING- PAY IT FORWARD WEEK.
In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 8th day of April in the year of our Lord two thousand sixteen.
