Quality health care is an important concern of the citizens of Georgia. The health of our citizens is a vital component in ensuring a flourishing and vibrant way of life for all, and affordable and accessible medical care is essential for the well-being of all citizens; and
Physician assistants (PAs) are medically trained professionals who provide comprehensive health care services and quality medical care to mil-lions of Americans throughout this great country; and
PAs are important members of the health care delivery team who work closely with their supervising physicians in a broad range of specialties to enhance the quality of medical care in Georgia and the United States.
WHEREAS: THEREFORE:
With growing demand for more health care professionals, PAs provide faster access to care while also helping to control costs; now
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim March 7-ll, 2016, as PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT WEEK in Georgia.
In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 3rd day of March in the year of our Lord two thousand sixteen.
