A PROCLAMATION'
NATIONAL SOCIETY OF HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS DAY
WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: THEREFORE:
Education is the single most important factor in the prosperity of our state and nation. It is essential that we honor students who excel academically in order to encourage further excellence and achievement; and
The National Society of High School Scholars was founded by Claes Nobel , a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes , in order to recognize academic excellence; and

The mission of the National Society of High School Students is to highlight
academic excellence and encourage members to apply their unique talents,
vision and potential to improve themselves and their community; and
The vision of the Society is to build a dynamic international organization that connect s members with meaningful content, resources, and opportunities to help individuals build on academic success and grow the skills and desire to have a positive impact in the global community; and
The State of Georgia is proud to commend the members of the national Society of High School Scholars and encourage them to continue their outstanding achievement and selfless service; now
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim December 3, 2016, as NATIONAL SOCIETY OF HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS DAY in Georgia.
