A PROCLAMATION
EMPLOYEE LEARNING WEEK
WHEREAS:
A capable, educated workforce is essential to Georgia's econo mi. c vit ality, driving growth and innovation; and
WHEREAS:
Businesses and organizations that are committed to creating a highly skilled workforce recognize the competitive advantage it gives them, as their knowledgeable and skilled employees provide improved performance and productivity; and
WHEREAS:
Continued employee learning develops individual and organizational knowledge and expertise; and
WHEREAS:
The Association for Talent Development (ATD) is the world's largest association dedicated to the training and development field. The ATD Greater Atlanta Chapter has more than 1,000 member organizations from Savannah to North Georgia; and
WHEREAS:
Employee Learning Week provides an opportunity to recognize the ATD Greater Atlanta Chapter, their members and other organizations that promote workplace learning; now
THEREFORE:
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim December 5- 9, 2016, as EMPLOYEE LEARNING WEEK in Georgia.
In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 3rd day of October in the year of our Lord two thousand sixteen.
