A PROCLAMATION OUTDOOR LEARNING DAY
WHEREAS:

Students in Georgia benefit from the opportunity to learn about the state's vast ecosystem. Outdoor learning areas are being developed, constructed, utilized, and maintained to create opportunities to explore Georgia's ecosystem and observe the interdependency of all life; and
It is important to educate students about the complexity of our many native ecosystems and the challenges we face in maintaining a healthy environment; and
Many different subjects and learning areas can be studied in an outdoor setting; and
Organizations like the Georgia Council of Outdoor Learning train educators so students and communities can be enriched and develop an understanding of the importance of our natural resources; now
I, NATHAN DEAL; Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim November 13, 201 5, as OUTDOOR LEANRING DAY in Georgia.
In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 3rd day of November in the year of our Lord two thousand fifteen .
