A proclamation: Family Business Day, Oct. 22, 2015

BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA

A PROCLAMATION

FAMILY BUSINESS DAY

WHEREAS:

Family businesses contribute more than $1 00 billion to
Georgia's gross domestic product in a wide range of enterprises; and

WHEREAS:

Good values, honest business practices, and standards of excellence are reinforced by recognizing family-owned businesses; and

WHEREAS:

Since 1994, the Cox Family Enterprise Center at Kennesaw State University has recognize top family businesses from across the state in its annual Georgia Family Business Awards Program, which recognizes high standards in family business; and

WHEREAS: The citizens who own family businesses in Georgia make up a valuable sector of our state's economy; now

THEREFORE:

I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby
proclaim November 5, 2015, as FAMILY BUSINESS DAY in
Georgia.

In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the
Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 22nd day of
October in the year of our Lord two thousand fifteen.
