BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA

A PROCLAMATION OFFICE FURNITURE DAY

Office Furniture Day was created to inspire others to embrace the spirit of goodwill by making a difference in their communities, creating more reasons to believe in giving back and assisting those in need; and
This occasion is a pinnacle moment intended to inspire generosity and giving throughout the year by encouraging Georgians and citizens across the nation to donate office furniture or make charitable contributions; and
Building on the success of corporate giving and in-kind contributions to charities across the nation, the North American Office Furniture Association has organized the first annual National Office Furniture Day; and
This annual endeavor will encourage office furniture manufacturers, dealers, and others to impact their community and state in a positive manner by providing kind monetary and resource donations; and
It is important that every citizen and Georgia business provide a good example by giving back to their communities, thereby representing our state in a positive manner; now
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim April 25, 2014, as OFFICE FURNITURE DAY in Georgia.
In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 3rd day of March in the year of our Lord two thousand fourteen.
