BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA

A PROCLAMATION ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS WEEK

WHEREAS:

Administrative professionals play an essential role in coordinating the office operations of businesses, government, and educational institutions as well as other organizations; and

WHEREAS:

The work of administrative professionals today requires advanced knowledge and expertise in communications, computer software, office technology, project management, organization, customer service, and other vital office management responsibilities; and

WHEREAS:

Companies and organizations that invest in trammg and development and are committed to delegating responsibilities that emphasize the skills of their administrative employees will have the best opportunity to excel in the future; and

WHEREAS:

This year's Administrative Professionals Week is focused on "honoring the office professionals who make offices work," reflecting the integral and central role that they play in modern business; and

WHEREAS:

Administrative Professionals Week is celebrated worldwide by numerous individuals and organizations, bringing together millions of people for various community events, educational seminars, and individual corporate activities; now

THEREFORE:

I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim April 2026, 2014, as ADMINISRATIVE PROFESSIONALS WEEK and April 23 as ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS DAY in Georgia, saluting the valuable contributions of administrative professionals in the workplace.

In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 3rd day of March in the year of our Lord two thousand fourteen.
