A PROCLAMATION BUSINESS CYBERSECURITY DAY

Cyber security is a prerequisite for our state and national business prosperity as well as financial growth in this century. The State of Georgia is committed to providing an environment that fosters trust and confidence for all citizens and businesses; and
The Technology Association of Georgia, the Georgia Department of Defense, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Cobb County 91-1, Cobb County Police and Cyber Exercises will conduct the open 2014 Cyber Security Simulation at Clay National Guard Center to build cooperation and government- enterprise partnership, preparing Georgia businesses to react quickly and with a minimum of damage to the inevitable cyber challenges that lie ahead; and
Numerous private citizens, organizations, enterprises, sponsors, C-leve! executives, senior managers, and practitioners from many different areas of the business sector will cooperate in the delivery of the simulation as well as in the dissemination and implementation of the lessons learned; and
As we progress through the 21 st century, it is imperative that we protect our citizens and businesses that could be susceptible to cyber threats of any kind by equipping them with the proper knowledge to ward off these dangers; now
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim February 25, 2014, as BUSINESS CYBERSECURITY DAY in Georgia and encourage all participants in the private sector of the state to perform their duty by sharing their time, experiences, knowledge, and insights for the common cyber security of all organizations doing business in Georgia.
