A PROCLAMATION
1QQTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU
WHEREAS:
2012 marks the 1OQth anniversary of the Better Business Bureau of Metro Atlanta, Athens and Northeast Georgia. This historic and valued organization has set the standard in Georgia for companies that consumers can trust w ith its BBB Accredited Business program and mission of promoting fair and honest practices in the private sector; and
WHEREAS:
The Better Business Bureau has created a community of trustworthy businesses, set the standards for marketplace trust, encouraged and supported best business practices, celebrated marketplace role models, and continues to denounce substandard marketplace behavior; and
WHEREAS:
The Better Business Bureau has continued to build on its foundation of reviewing misleading advertising and works with companies to promote truth and ethics in the marketplace; and
WHEREAS:
The Better Business Bureau has founded programs to protect anq educate all branches of the military on financial literacy, scams and frauds in order to protect individuals and families . With the fervent beli ef that one should be treated with respect and dignity, the important work that this organization carries out on beha lf of Georgia's citizens is deserving of the highest re cognition; now
THEREFORE:
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim September 27, 2012, as the 1OOTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU in Georgia.
In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 9th day of August in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve.
