A PROCLAMATION
LIFE INSURANCE AWARENESS MONTH

WHEREAS: THEREFORE:
Life insurance has become the most widely used means for family fi nancial security plann ing, and today more American fam ilies own life insurance than any other form of thrift and savings; and
Life insurance contributes to and benefits from social and econom ic changes in ou r society that relate to community and fam ily well-being; and
The institution of private life insurance is a systematic method to share the risks of life and to give assurance that individual, family and business objectives will be attained ; and
Individuals and families need to become aware of the benefits, issues and differences in various life insurance plans. Georgia citizens shou ld thorough ly research life insurance plans and companies, discussing their options with a trained and licensed professional before making a decision; and
The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors - Georgia, the Georgia Association of Life Insurance Companies, and the American Council of Life Insurers are engaged in a program to inform the public of t he many and broad aspects of life insurance; now
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim September 2011 , as LIFE INSURANCE AWARENESS MONTH in Georgia and encourage our citizens to learn more about life insurance and its benefits .
In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 31 st day of August in the year of ou r Lord two thousand eleven.
