A PROCLAMATION MOBILE COMMERCE DAY
Georgia is home to many mobile commerce organizations . These companies help to strengthen our state's technology community and further Georgia's reputation as a technolog y hub; and
Bu sine sses like CorFire and First Data are a driving force in Georgia by creating hundreds of jobs and fueling the economic engine in our state . These companies are critical to the future economic development of Georgia; and
CorFire is recognized as a pioneer in mobile commerce technology, proving issuers, merchants, and mobile network operators with the ability to immediately capitalize on the fastapproaching consumer mobile payment reality in the U.S.; and
WHEREAS:
The State of Georgi a is grateful to the se companies for the beneficial impact they have on the state' s economy and community; now
THEREFORE: I, NATHAN DEAL, Gove rnor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim May 5, 2011 , as MOBILE COMMERCE DAY in Georgia.
