The Honorable Kimberly Childs, in her individual capacity as Judge of the Superior Court of Cobb County, has been named as a party respondent in the lawsuit John Hughes v. Honorable Kimberly Childs, Civil Action Case No. 19-1-8638, Superior Comt of Cobb County; and
The Attorney General, because of conflict, has declined representation of Judge Childs in this case; and
Mr. Dennis Cathey from Cornelia, Georgia, has agreed to represent the Honorable Kimberly A. Childs in this matter at a rate agreed upon by Judge Childs, Mr. Cathey, and the Office of the Governor.
Now, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO O.C.G.A. 45-15-70 AND THE
AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
That Mr. Dennis Cathey is hereby appointed as Special Counsel to assume control and responsibility for the representation of the Honorable Kimberly A. Childs in all matters related to John Hughes v. Honorable Kimberly Childs, Civil Action Case No. 19-1-8638
