THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
Whereas: There currently exists at Georgia State University, Fulton County, Atlanta, Georgia, a building and an adjacent raised plaza known as Kell Hall (the "Improvements"), at 24 Peachtree Center Avenue; and
Whereas: The Board of Regents, at its meeting on February 12, 2019, declared that the Improvements could no longer be advantageously used by Georgia State University or the University System of Georgia and should be removed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BYTHE POWER VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
Ordered: That the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia is hereby authorized to demolish and remove the Improvements from the Georgia State University, Fulton County, Atlanta, Georgia.
IT IS FURTHER
Ordered:
That the appropriate staff of Georgia State University, Fulton County, Atlanta, Georgia, acting under the approval of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, is hereby authorized to demolish the Improvements and to have all building materials removed from the premises; all said demolition and removal to be performed as expeditiously as possible.
