THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:

WHEREAS:

The State of Georgia leases approximately 1,938+/- acres of improved real property (hereinafter the "Property") located at 3723 Mistletoe Road, in Appling, Columbia County, Georgia 30802, from the United States Secretary of the Army pursuant to a twenty-five year lease which commenced May 15, 2015, which lease is recorded in the State Properties Commission Real Property Records as RPR# 012344, and which Property has been leased to the State of Georgia by the Depattment of the Army since January 1, 1952; and

WHEREAS: Said Property is in the custody of the Georgia Department Natural Resources and is operated as Mistletoe State Park; and

WHEREAS: The Property is improved with a group shelter and associated smoke house (BLLIP !D's #23974 and #23975) as shown in the aerial photograph attached hereto as Exhibit "A" ("Structures"); and

WHEREAS: Said Structures have been identified by the Georgia Department ofNatural Resources as being in poor condition, in need of significant interior repairs, and not safe for public use; and

WHEREAS: By Resolution dated October 22, 2019, the Georgia Board of Natural Resources requested approval to demolish the Structures.

NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHOIU1Y VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY

ORDERED: The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is authorized and directed to provide for the razing, demolition and disposal of said Structures under the terms and conditions which are deemed to be in the best interests of the State of Georgia.
