THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER

BY THE GOVERNOR:

WHEREAS:

The State of Georgia holds title to approximately 1 acre of improved real property (tlle "Property "), located at 306 McAlpin Drive in Savannah, Georgia witllin tlle Vernon View subdivision by virtue of a Warranty Deed dated May 10, 1978, from The Nature Conservancy, and being recorded in Deed Book 2110-Q, Pages 479-484 in the office oftlle Clerk ofSuperior Court of Chatllam County and a Warranty Deed dated May 10, 1978, from Ossabaw, Inc., and being recorded in Deed Book 2110-Q Pages 473-478 in tlle office oftlle Clerk of Superior Comt of Chatham County; and

WHEREAS: Said Property is in tlle custody of tlle Georgia Department of Natural Resources (tlle "Department") and is a part of tlle Vernon View subdivision on Ossabaw Island; and

WHEREAS: The Property is improved witll a house (BLLIP ID # 26355), which is approximately 2,160 square feet (tlle "Structure"), as shown in plat attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and incorporated herein by reference; and

WHEREAS: Said Structure is identified by the Department to be in disrepair and a safety hazard, rendering it surplus to the Department's needs; and

WHEREAS:

The Georgia Board of Natural Resources on June 27, 2018, recommended the demolition of tlle Structure and requested tllat the State Properties Commission seek an Executive Order from tlle Governor to allow for tlle razing, demolition, and disposal of tlle Structure as in tlle best interest of tlle State of Georgia.

NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GoVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY

ORDERED:

The Department is hereby autllorized and directed to provide for the razing, demolition and disposal of said Structure under tlle terms and conditions which are deemed to be in tlle best interests of the State of Georgia.
