The Honorable G. Grant Brantley, in his individual capacity as Senior Judge of the Superior Court of Cobb County, has been named as a party respondent in the lawsuit Baker v. Sundy v. Brantley, et al., Civil Action Case No. 2017-CV-1125-J, Superior Court of Hall County; and
The Attorney General, because of conflict, has declined representation of Judge Brantley in this case; and
Mr. Edward D. Tolley from Athens, Georgia, has agreed to represent the Honorable G. Grant Brantley in this matter at a rate agreed upon by Judge Brantley, Mr. Tolley, and the Office of the Governor.
Now, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO O.C.G.A. 45-15-70 AND THE
AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
That Mr. Edward D. Tolley is hereby appointed as Special Counsel to assume control and responsibility for the representation of the Honorable G. Grant Brantley in all matters related to Baker v. Sundy v. Brantley, et al., Civil Action Case No. 2017-CV-1125-J.
