THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
Whereas:
The State of Georgia holds title to approximately 2.01 acres of improved real property (the "Property"), located at 207 Highway 129 N., Echols County, Statenville, Georgia by virtue of a Deed dated December 31, i960, from Echols County, and being recorded in Deed Book 7, Pages 333-334 in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Echols County; and
Whereas: Said Property is in the custody of the Georgia Forestry Commission (the "Commission"); and
Whereas:
The Property is improved with an equipment shed and workshop (BLLIP ID # 36431), which is approximately 3,500 square feet (the "Structure"), as shown in plat attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and incorporated herein by reference; and
Whereas: The Commission requests demolition of said Structure to allow for access to a new facility proposed to be constructed on the existing Echols County site; and
Whereas:
The Georgia Forestry Commission resolved on September 19, 2018, to authorize the demolition of the Structure and requested that the State Properties Commission seek an Executive Order from the Governor to allow for the razing, demolition, and disposal of the Structure as in the best interest of the State of Georgia.
NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS Governor of the state of Georgia, it is hereby
Ordered:
The Commission is hereby authorized and directed to provide for the razing, demolition and disposal of said Structure under the terms and conditions which are deemed to be in the best interests of the State of Georgia.
