THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
Whereas:
The State of Georgia holds title to approximately 625.64 acres of improved real property (the "Property"), located at 10600 River Road, Dooly County, Byromville, Georgia by virtue of a Warranty Deed dated January 28,1987, from H.F. Moore, Jr., and Quit Claim deed dated January 25,1987, from Earl Collier and Inez Thompson and their successors in office, as Trustees of Bakerfield Baptist Church and being recorded in Deed Book 165, Pages 748-752; and Deed Book 165, Pages 753-757, respectively, in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Dooly County; and
Whereas: Said Property is in the custody of the Georgia Forestry Commission (the "Commission"); and
Whereas:
The Property is improved with the Flint River Nursery Residence (BLLIP ID # 36695), which is approximately 1,248 square feet (the "Structure"), as shown in the aerial attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and incorporated herein by reference; and
Whereas:
The Commission requests demolition of said Structure due to it being located outside the fence of the Flint River Nurseiy, in close proximity to the road, and having been heavily vandalized; and
Whereas:
The Georgia Forestry Commission resolved on September 18, 2018, to authorize the demolition of the Structure and requested that the State Properties Commission seek an Executive Order from the Governor to allow for the razing, demolition, and disposal of the Structure as in the best interest of the State of Georgia.
NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS Governor of the state of Georgia, it is hereby
Ordered:
The Commission is hereby authorized and directed to provide for the razing,
demolition and disposal of said Structure under the terms and conditions which are
deemed to be in the best interests of the State of Georgia.
