THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
WHEREAS:
The State of Georgia holds title to, and the Georgia Depattment ofDefense is the custodian of the approximately 13.75 acres of improved real property including buildings numbered 8, 10, 11 , 12, 13, 18, and a Pole Barn located at 935 East Confederate Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30316, being patt ofthe campus known and commonly referred to as "Confederate Avenue", located in Land Lots 9, 10, 23, and 24 ofthe 141h District, Fulton County, Georgia, (hereinafter the "Property"), as more fully described as Tract I in that survey attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and identified in that aerial attached hereto as Exhibit "B", which are incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS:
Custody of Buildings numbered 8, II, 12 and 18 were previously transferred from the Georgia Department of Defense to the Georgia Depattment of Public Safety via Executive Orders; and
WHEREAS:
By letter from the Georgia Depattment of Defense dated June 2, 2017, it was requested that custody of the Property be transferred to the Georgia Department of Public Safety; and
WHEREAS:
By Resolution dated May 11,2017, the Georgia Depatiment of Public Safety requested that custody of the Propetty be transferred from the Georgia Department of Defense to the Georgia Department of Public Safety to provide needed additional space and a unified area to carry out its responsibilities and operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED:
That custody of the above-defined Property located in Fulton County, Georgia be and the same is hereby transferred from the Georgia Depattment of Defense to the Georgia Depattment of Public Safety.
