THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
WHEREAS: Th e State of Georgia holds title to approximately 43 acres of improved real property (tl1e "Property") known as the Geo L. Smith II Georgia World Congress Center; and
WHEREAS: Said Property is in tl1e custody of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (the "Authority"); and
WHEREAS:
The Property is improved with an approximately 490,000 square foot building commonly known as the Georgia Dome (BLLIP 10 # 9608) (the "Dome"), as shown in that aerial photograph attached h ereto as Exhibit A, and incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS:
Pursuant to the Site Coordination Agreement between the Authority and the Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company, LLC ("StadCo") dated May 18, 2015, and the Project Development and Funding Agreement between the same parties and the Atlanta Falcons Football Club, LLC dated Februaty 5, 2014, the parties agreed to the demolition of the Dome at StadCo's expense; and
WHEREAS:
The Authority, acting through its duly authorized Executive Director, requested authorization to demolish the Dome and requested that tl1e State Properties Commission seek an Executive Order from the Governor to allow for the razing, demolition, and disposal of the Dome.
NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED:
The Authority is hereby authorized and directed to provide for the razing, demolition and disposal of the Dome under the terms and conditions which are deemed to be in the best interests of the State of Georgia.
