THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
The Office of District Attorney of the Cordele Judicial Circuit became vacant due to the resignation of Denise Fachini, that office was subsequently filled by the appointment of Brad Rigby pursuant to Article VI Section VIII Paragraph I of the Constitution of the State of Georgia. As such, pursuant to Sections 45-5-3 and 21-2-540 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, a writ of election is hereby issued to the Secretary of State for a special election to be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, to fill the District Attorney vacancy within the Cordele Judicial Circuit.
