EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:

ORDERED:
The State of Georgia ho lds title to approximately I02.53 acres of improved real property (the " Property"), by virtue of a Warranty Deed dated January 9, 1956, from Empire Land Company being recorded in Deed Book 140 Pages 389-390 in the office of the C lerk of Superior Court of C layton County; and
Said Property is in the custody ofthe Department of Agriculture (the "Department") and was acquired as part of the Atlanta State Farmers Market; and
The Property is improved with sheds identified as numbers 11 - 16, which are approximately 10,389, 7,896, and 7,896 square feet, respectively (the "Structures"), as shown in that aerial photograph attached he reto as Exhibit A, and incorporated herein by reference; and
Said Structures are identified by the Department to be demolished so that construction of a new produce warehouse can begin; and
The Commissioner of Agricu lture on April 8, 20 16, recommended the demolition of the Structures and requested that the State Properties Commission seek an Executive Order from the Governor to a llow for the razing, demolition, and disposal of the Structures as in the best interest of the State of Georgia in construction of a new produce warehouse.
NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED I N M E AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
The Department of Agriculture is hereby authorized and directed to provide for the razing, demo lition and disposal of said Structures under the terms and conditions which are deemed to be in the best interests of the State of Georg ia.
