THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:
WHEREAS:
The State of Georgia holds title to buildings numbered 8 and 18 located at 935 East Confederate Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30316, being part of the campus known and commonly referred to as "Confederate Avenue" located in Land Lots 9, 10, 23, and 24 ofthe 14th District, Fulton County, Georgia, (hereinafter the "Property"), as more fully described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS: Said Property is identified as buildings numbered 8 and 18 located on the Confederate Avenue complex, in the custody of the Georgia Department of Defense; and
WHEREAS: By letter from the Georgia Department of Defense dated January 25, 2016, it was requested that custody of the Property be transferred to the Georgia Department of Public Safety; and
WHEREAS:
By Resolution dated February 11, 2016, the Georgia Department of Public Safety requested that custody of the Property be transferred from the Georgia Department of Defense to the Georgia Department of Public Safety for use as additional space needed to carry out its responsibilities.
NOW,THEREFORE,PURSUANTTOTHEAUTHORITYVESTEDINMEASGoVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED:
That custody of the above-defined Property located in Fulton County, Georgia be and the same is hereby transferred from the Georgia Department of Defense to the Georgia Department of Public Safety.
